Breaking fast at nandos, pavilion! Can’t believe that nandos are taking reservations 😉
This is what ramadhan is all about! It’s all about being humble. Syukur that Allah has blessed us in so many ways so that we don’t starve. Alhamdulillah.

Pray and thank God for all the good things that we received.

The Norwegian Spiral Anomaly

Salam & hye there.

Just want to take some time off from weddings for a while.

I stumbled upon this interesting article that i just read. It’s called the Norwegian Spiral Anomaly. It’s quite an interesting article which grasp my attention. I immediately began googling it over the net. This is a brief description from Wikipedia :

The Norwegian spiral anomaly of 2009  appeared in the night sky over Norway  on 9 December 2009. It was visible from, and photographed from, northern Norway and Sweden. The spiral consisted of a blue beam of light with a greyish spiral emanating from one end of it. The light could be seen in all of Trøndelag to the south (the two red counties on the map to the right) and all across the three northern counties which compose Northern Norway, as well as from Northern Swedenand it lasted for 2–3 minutes.According to sources, it looked like a blue light coming from behind a mountain, stopping in mid-air, and starting to spiral outwards.A similar, though less spectacular event had also occurred in Norway the month before. Both events had the expected visual features of failed flights of Russian RSM-56 Bulava missiles, and the Russian Defence Ministry acknowledged shortly after that such an event had taken place on December 9.

These are some speculations :

Hundreds of calls flooded the Norwegian Meteorological Institute as residents wanted to know what they were seeing.Norwegian celebrity astronomer Knut Jørgen Røed Ødegaard commented that he first speculated that it was a fireball meteor, but rejected that possibility because the light lasted too long.He also pointed out the area over which the light had been observed was exceptionally large, covering all of Northern Norway and Trøndelag. It was also suggested that it could have been a rare, never-before-seen Northern Lights variant.

UFO enthusiasts immediately began speculating whether the aerial light display could be evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence proposing among other things that it could be a wormhole opening up, or somehow was linked to the recent high-energy experiments undertaken at the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland.

Officials has declared that those spirals were caused by Missiles. The paragraph is what officials has to say :

On December 10, the Russian Ministry of Defence confirmed that a Bulava missile test had failed. According to a spokesman, “The missile’s first two stages worked as normal, but there was a technical malfunction at the next, third, stage of the trajectory.” Russian defence analyst Pavel Felgenhauer stated to AFP that “such lights and clouds appear from time to time when a missile fails in the upper layers of the atmosphere and have been reported before … At least this failed test made some nice fireworks for the Norwegians.”Previous to the Russian statement, Jonathan McDowell, an astrophysicist at the Harvard–Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, had already suggested that the unusual light display occurred when the missile’s third stage nozzle was damaged, causing the exhaust to come out sideways and sending the missile into a spin.

Some has expressed their feelings over the matter. Some even thought that those were extra terrestials trying to open up a wormhole or a ‘ door ‘ to another dimension ! Anything’s possible. While the officials are pressing on the matter that the anomaly is caused by their ‘ failed missiles ‘, many have their doubts on the explanations by the officials. They even speculated that the officials are experimenting on opening up a ‘ window ‘ to another dimension.

Well, those are some of the explanations that i read over the internet. Many have their speculations. But one thing in mind : if they were missiles, would failed missiles be spinning in such perfect spirals as per the video?

What do you think?

Salam & see ya!

23 & 24 July 2011- Sime Darby Property,Launch Of Primo : Bali + Zen

Salam & hye to all!

Today’s post is going to be a good one.

Shazam Weddings had this big opportunity to handle the decorations for Sime Darby Property, the property launch of Primo property.

Primo is a property developed by Sime Darby Property in Bukit Jelutong. It’s basically a 3 storey, very posh and exclusive household bungalows, around 8000sf of area and build-up of about 3000sf.

The concept is almost to garden + Bali concept. The modern and wood textures are placed to compliment the garden concept. Very nice indeed. A tad expensive, but very nice from the outside.

It was a 2-day job that involves famous cook Chef Wan(who was here to talk about how to cater and entertain for welcoming guests) & famous investor Azizi Ali( for property investment,of course ). Had time to have a fun chat with Chef wan though 😉

The job was given to us at a last minute emergency. Luckily we had a few decors left due to the other decors were already used for other functions.

We did some last minute adjustments on the decors. We had absolutely no time to buy fresh flowers ( usually i would buy them a day early ), because we only had 1 hour to set everything up.

Given the Bali concept, we used garden decors and flowers taken from their own front yard to jive with the theme. Some pebbles to compliment the centrepieces and voila, cute little ‘Zen Bali’ centrepieces has been created. Not bad for a 45-minute job given the circumstances that time was against us.

Extras that were provided.

Food & Beverage were from Eden Catering. They had such lovely Samosas. They might have not superb dishes, but their finger food is always their forte. One of the best i ever tasted.

Well, that’s it for today 😉

Hope you enjoyed today’s post. Be seeing you later 😉

Event-cum-Wedding; Masriera Theme

Salam & Hello everybody!

First of all, i would like wish all Muslims Happy Ramadan and have a good fasting month.

Wow..It’s been long since i’ve updated my blog. 3-4 months? Gosh…What a bad way to drop my blog traffics 😦

Anyway, been so busy with events and weddings. Big. small weddings, you name it. Alhamdulillah Allah has graced me with jobs that i never imagined that i would even get! Syukur. And it’s also because of that, i didn’t have time to even open up my laptop and update my blog! *sigh*

Well, right now in this fasting month, i have ample time to blog. Not that i’m actually free, because there are clients who asked me for some open house events. So insyAllah we would have some open houses this month 😉
